After 13 long years, the highly anticipated sequel to the highest-grossing movie ever, Avatar: The Way Of Water, has finally arrived in theatres. Let's see if James Cameron's film lives up to the anticipation.

Story

----------------

Sam Worthington plays Jake Sully, also known as Toruk Makto, and his wife Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), along with their four children Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), Loak (Britain Dalton), Tuk (Trinity Bliss), and Kiri, live contentedly on Pandora (Sigourney Weaver). Additionally, they have Spider (Jack Champion), a human orphan. Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) returns at this period as a unique Avatar to exact revenge on Jake Sully and his followers. Spider is taken captive by him. Jake makes the decision to move his family to a new location, where the Metkayina family resides, in order to protect his family. However, the Colonel and his Sky crew will also be moving into this new house. The rest of the story is about how the forest and water people work together to protect their families from mankind.

Gaining Ground

------------------------------

The epic plot of Avatar and its sequel was written by James Cameron, and it was already disclosed in the trailers. Nevertheless, he creates a fantastic viewing experience for the film with his superb characterizations and storyline.

James does an excellent job of weaving the two portions (movies) together. He provides a clear explanation that makes it simpler for people to comprehend how the first and second sections relate to one another. The film was an emotional experience because of the way he tied together some of the important characters from the first section.

Not just the Navi people, but also the wildlife they cherish, are beautiful in Avatar 2. In a stunning way, James Cameron depicts the emotional connection between the Navi clan and the enormous animals known as Tulkun.

When it comes to performances, the kids did well. Their innocence, tenacity, and eagerness to learn new things have been admirably displayed. We will be deeply affected by Kiri and Neteyam long after we leave the theatre. They give all they have. The actors who played Tonowari (the Metkayina clan's leader) and his wife Ronal (Kate Winslet) defended their characters. With his villainous actions, Stephen Lang hits the mark once more.

Negative Points

--------------------------------

It's the story, as was already said. By watching the trailers, one may easily figure out the plot. But James Cameron does a good job at narration. Additionally, the movie's length of more than three hours makes it difficult to watch for long periods of time. You become bored with the slow narration and wonder why there is so much lag.

James Cameron put more emphasis on emotions in the second half than the first, especially with the children. In the first half, Jake Sully and Neytiri don't have a lot of screen time. Additionally, the Colonel's character could have been written more effectively. He is less impressive than in the first portion, to be honest.

Technical Details

---------------------------------

James Cameron has demonstrated his prowess as a storyteller yet again. He takes a straightforward tale and relates it thrillingly. The leisurely pacing of the writing serves to improve the proceedings. The film's camerawork, background music, and sound design are all flawless, ensuring that viewers have an amazing experience. The VFX are really astounding, and the 3D experience makes everything much better.

Avatar 2 may have been a standout movie if a few sequences had been cut from both halves, shortening the movie's running time. The camera work is superb, and the underwater images are really breathtaking. Both the battle scenes at the climax and the strategies Jack Sully and his squad employed to defeat their foes are fantastic.

Verdict

----------------

Avatar: The Way Of Water is primarily on family and feelings. The film's breath-taking underwater imagery will have you daydreaming about the watery realm. The movie moves slowly, so it will take you more than three hours to really appreciate the spectacle. If you don't mind a long runtime, give this insane masterpiece a watch on the biggest screen you can.
